At the same time he reached Kerala, where he had darshan of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Shiva said that this place is the most suitable, so the idol should be established here. Then Guru and Vayu anointed the idol and installed it and God gave them a boon that this place would be known as 'Guruvayur' because of the installation of the idol by Guru and Vayu. Since then this holy place is famous by this name.
