सरस्वती पूजा (वसंत पंचमी) की व्रत कथा

कई हजारों साल पहले ब्रह्मा जी ने विष्णु भगवान के आदेश पर सृष्टि रचना की। उस समय उन्होंने सभी तरह के जीव जन्तुओं के साथ ही मनुष्यों को भी बनाया। सृष्टि की रचना के बाद ब्रह्मा जी धरती पर आकर भ्रमण करने लगे। तब उन्होंने देखा की हर तरफ शांति है और किसी तरह की ध्वनी नहीं है। यह सब देखकर वो अपनी रचना से संतुष्ट नहीं हुए।

फिर उन्होंने अपने कमंडल से जल लेकर जमीन पर छिड़क दिया। जल के छिड़कने के बाद धरती में कंपन हुआ और धरती से चार हाथों वाली सुंदर देवी प्रकट हुईं। उस देवी के एक हाथ में वीणा, दूसरे में वर मुद्रा, तीसरे में पुस्तक और चौथे में माला थी। चतुर्भुजी देवी ने ब्रह्माजी के कहने पर अपनी वीणा से मधुर नाद किया, तब संसार के सभी प्राणियों को वाणी प्राप्त हुई।

उस दिन के बाद से हर तरफ मधुर वाणी गूंजने लगी। चिड़िया चहचहाने, भवरे गुनगुनाने और नदियां कलकल करने लगीं। उनके वीणा की मधुरता को सुनने के बाद ब्रह्माजी ने उन्हें वाणी की देवी सरस्वती पुकारा। तब से ही उस चतुर्भुजी देवी को सरस्वती के नाम से जाना जाने लगा।

मां सरस्वती देवी माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी के दिन प्रकट हुई थी, जिसे वसंत पंचमी कहा जाता है। तभी वसंत पंचमी के दिन को मां सरस्वती के जन्मोत्सव के तौर पर भी मनाया जाता है। पुराणों के मुताबिक, भगवन श्रीकृष्ण ने माता सरस्वती से प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें यह वरदान दिया था कि भक्तों द्वारा वसंत पंचमी के दिन उनकी पूजा-आराधना की जाएगी। यही वजह है कि इस दिन हिंदू धर्म के लोगों द्वारा मां सरस्वती की धूमधाम से पूजा की जाती है।

 

खाटू श्याम मेला फाल्गुन माह में क्यों लगता है 

 

मां सरस्वती को शारदा, भगवती, वीणावादनी, वाग्देवी और बागीश्वरी आदि नामों से भी जाना व पूजा जाता है। मां सरस्वती द्वारा संगीत की उत्पत्ति हुई है, इसलिए संगीत भजन से पहले मां सरस्वती की पूजा भी की जाती है।

इस कहानी से यह सीख मिलती है कि जबतक अपने काम से संतुष्टि न मिले, तबतक उसे बेहतर करने की कोशिश करते रहना चाहिए।

Chaturbhuji Devi made a sweet sound with her veena at the behest of Brahmaji, then all the creatures of the world got speech.

From that day onwards, the sweet voice started echoing everywhere. The birds started chirping, the birds started humming and the rivers started gurgling. After listening to the sweetness of her Veena, Lord Brahma called her Saraswati, the goddess of speech. Since then that Chaturbhuji Devi came to be known as Saraswati.

Mother Saraswati Devi appeared on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magh month, which is called Vasant Panchami. That's why the day of Vasant Panchami is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Mother Saraswati. According to the Puranas, Lord Krishna, being pleased with Mother Saraswati, had given her a boon that she would be worshiped by the devotees on the day of Vasant Panchami. This is the reason why on this day the people of Hindu religion worship Maa Saraswati with pomp.

Why is the Khatu Shyam fair held in the month of Phalgun?

Mother Saraswati is also known and worshiped by the names Sharda, Bhagwati, Veenavadni, Vagdevi and Bagishwari etc. Music has originated from Maa Saraswati, so Maa Saraswati is also worshiped before Sangeet Bhajan.
