संकष्टी चतुर्थी आषाढ़ मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्थी के दिन मनाई जाती है। चतुर्थी का दिन भगवान गणेश को समर्पित होता है

एक बार सभी देवी-देवता बहुत परेशान थे और उस समस्या से निजात पाने के लिए वे सभी भगवान भोलेनाथ के चरणों में गए। सभी देवों की समस्याओं को सुनकर भगवान शिव ने इसके समाधान के लिए अपने दोनों पुत्रों, भगवान गणेश और कार्तिकेय से कहा। इस बात पर दोनों भाइयों ने सहमती जताई।

भगवान शिव का जन्म कैसे हुआ

उन दोनों की बात सुनकर भगवान शिव असमंजस में पड़ गए। उन्होंने दोनों से कहा की जो भी इस पृथ्वी का चक्कर सबसे पहले लगाकर वापस आएगा, वह इस समस्या का निवारण करेगा। भगवान कार्तिकेय अपने वाहन मोर पर विराजमान होकर पृथ्वी की परिक्रमा लगाने के लिए निकल गए, वहीं भगवान गणेश की सवारी मूषक है और मोर की तुलना में मूषक के द्वारा पहले पृथ्वी के चक्कर लगाना संभव नहीं था।

गणेश जी जानते थे कि मूषक पर सवार होकर तो वे पृथ्वी की परिक्रमा सबसे पहले नहीं कर सकते है, इसलिए उन्होंने अपनी बुद्धि का इस्तेमाल किया और एक युक्ति सोची। वे माता पार्वती और भोलेनाथ के पास गए और फिर हाथ जोड़कर उनके चारों ओर 7 बार परिक्रमा की।

महाभारत की कहानी: भक्त ध्रुव की कथा

जब कर्तिकेय जी परिक्रमा करके लौटे तो गणेश जी को अपनी जगह पर बैठा देखकर, उन्होंने स्वयं को विजयी घोषित कर दिया। भगवान शिव ने इस बात पर गणेश जी से सवाल किया की वे पृथ्वी की परिक्रमा लगाने क्यों नहीं गए?

रामायण की कहानी: कुंभकरण की नींद

इस बात पर गणेश जी ने उत्तर देते हुए कहा कि माता-पिता के चरणों में ही उनका पूरा संसार है, इसलिए उन्होंने अपने माता पिता के चारों ओर परिक्रमा दी। गणेश जी ने अपने इस उत्तर से मां पार्वती और भोले नाथ को प्रसन्न कर दिया। जिसके बाद देवताओं के कष्ट को दूर करने के लिए भगवान शिव ने गणेश जी को भेजा।

श्री कृष्ण और अरिष्टासुर वध की कहानी

इसके साथ ही भगवान शंकर ने गणेश जी को यह आशीर्वाद भी दिया की जो भी व्यक्ति चतुर्थी के दिन उनकी पूजा-अर्चना करेगा और चन्द्रमा को जल चढ़ाएगा, उसके सभी कष्ट दूर हो जाएंगे।

 

Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat Katha

Sankashti Chaturthi is celebrated on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha. Chaturthi day is dedicated to Lord Ganesha.

Once all the Gods and Goddesses were very troubled and to get rid of that problem they all went to the feet of Lord Bholenath. Hearing the problems of all the devas, Lord Shiva asked his two sons, Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya, to solve it. Both the brothers agreed on this matter.

hagwan Shiv Ka Janam Kaise Hua

Lord Shiva got confused after listening to both of them. He told both of them that whoever comes back first after going around this earth, he will solve this problem. Lord Kartikeya went out to circumambulate the earth by sitting on his vehicle peacock, while Lord Ganesha's ride is a mouse and it was not possible to go around the earth earlier by a mouse than by a peacock.

Ganesha knew that he could not be the first to circumambulate the earth by riding on a mouse, so he used his intelligence and thought of a trick. He went to Mata Parvati and Bholenath and then with folded hands circumambulated around them 7 times.

Mahabharat Ki Khani: Bhakt Dhruv Ki Katha

When Kartikeya ji returned after circumambulating, seeing Ganesha sitting at his place, he declared himself victorious. Lord Shiva questioned Ganesha on this matter that why did he not go around the earth?

Ramayana Ki Khani: Kumbhakarna Ki Neend

On this, Ganesh ji replied that his whole world lies at the feet of his parents, so he circumambulated around his parents. Ganesh ji pleased Mother Parvati and Bhole Nath with this answer. After which Lord Shiva sent Ganesha to remove the suffering of the gods.

Along with this, Lord Shankar also blessed Ganesha that whoever worships him on the day of Chaturthi and offers water to the moon, all his troubles will go away.
